The asbl Abri de Jour<\/em>, located in Li\u00e8ge, welcomes people in very precarious situations or who are homeless.<\/p>\n

Thanks to UFB\u2019s support, they were able to renovate the kitchen to provide a better working environment for the volunteers, which also increases the quality of the meals served to the beneficiaries.<\/p>\n

Solidarity and inclusion: Abri de Jour de Li\u00e8ge serving the most vulnerable
\n\"\"<\/b><\/h2>\n

Created in 1998, the asbl Abri de Jour <\/i><\/a><\/span>aims to offer a <\/span>quality <\/span>welcome to people excluded from society. Beneficiaries can stay during the day and benefit from several services that meet basic needs.<\/span><\/p>\n

The association allows the beneficiaries to buy clothes from the second-hand shop and to receive a hot meal. It also provides a sympathetic listening ear and offers activities such as board games or crafts to encourage exchanges and foster the creation of links.<\/p>\n

In addition to these services, it offers personalised support and can direct beneficiaries to more suitable structures according to their situation.<\/p>\n

With values based on solidarity, inclusion and mutual support, the association now supports more than 1200 people through these various actions.<\/p>\n

A new kitchen for everyone<\/h2>\n

With more than 11,578 meals distributed in one year, the old kitchen was functional but no longer suitable to provide a quality service. The constantly increasing number of beneficiaries required a renovation of the equipment.<\/p>\n

The renovation of the kitchen, financed at EUR 10,000, improves the conditions in which volunteers carry out their missions and contributes to offering better quality meals to beneficiaries while respecting the hygiene standards of the AFSCA.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the support received, the kitchen renovation has been completed. Everyone’s contribution allows Abri de Jour<\/em> de Li\u00e8ge to maintain quality services and ensure the well-being of beneficiaries and volunteers.<\/p>\n
