In the Li\u00e8ge region, a new vehicle enables Maison Heureuse to safely transport young mothers and their children to medical appointments, social services, and activities that support their recovery and independence.<\/b><\/p>\n
La Maison Heureuse \/ Maison Maternelle is a nonprofit organization providing housing and support in the Li\u00e8ge region, dedicated to welcoming and supporting young mothers and pregnant women, whether minors or adults, who are facing precarious circumstances and have been referred by youth welfare and protection services (SAJ\/SPJ). Approximately 50 mothers and children receive support each year from a team of 11 staff members. The organization\u2019s work is structured around three areas: social, medical, and psychological support, all focused on strengthening the mother-child bond and preparing for social reintegration. <\/span><\/p>\n La Maison Heureuse works with a specific and vulnerable population\u2014young women who often find themselves in difficult situations\u2014and provides them with a stable and supportive environment in which to develop skills, confidence, and independence.<\/span><\/p>\n For more than ten years, the nonprofit had relied on a Ford C-Max purchased with a previous donation from UFB in 2002.
