Supporting the future of young people in Molenbeek through audiovisual production

In Molenbeek, the charity Bien ou Bien is dedicated to supporting young people in difficulty from disadvantaged backgrounds. Their mission? Help these young people build a future by offering them opportunities for creative expression through enriching extra-curricular activities. The association strongly believes that each of these young people has a huge potential, but to unlock it, they need to be given the right tools and space to grow.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we were able to take a crucial first step: acquiring the basic equipment to start producing videos. But to go further and maximise our impact, we need your support.

Creating, learning and reinventing ourselves through audiovisual media

Bien ou Bien wants to offer more than just an introductory course: the aim is to train these young people for the audiovisual professions, providing them with skills they will be able to use throughout their lives. This project requires new audiovisual equipment as well as  qualified professionals who will be training the young people. In a supportive environment, participants will have the opportunity to learn the secrets of filmmaking, from scriptwriting to post-production.

Their workshops will focus on:

  • shooting and editing techniques
  • mastering lighting and sound
  • writing compelling scripts
  • teamwork and project management.

But beyond technical skills, these activities allow them to tell their own stories, rediscover the value of their ideas and develop critical thinking skills. For many of these young people, it’s the first time they feel heard and valued, and that’s when the magic happens. They rediscover themselves, boost their self-esteem and see new prospects for the future.

The amount to finance: 40.000€/over 3 years

A transformative impact

The initial results speak for themselves:

85% of the young people have acquired skills that they consider useful for their schooling/education and future professional life.

70% have developed a strong interest in the audiovisual sector and plan to pursue a career in this field.

100% said that they now feel more confident and able to carry out their projects.

The outcome is clear and certain: most shy young people are speaking out with confidence, students with difficulties at school are finding a new motivation, and young people who have no plans are discovering a vocation. The power of audiovisual creation goes far beyond technical training: it is a way to transform lives.

Together, let’s invest in the talent of these young people!

By supporting Bien ou Bien, you do not only offer training.

  • You are giving every young person a chance to believe in themselves, to develop their talents, and to think about complex social issues.
  • Each donation contributes to the purchase of additional equipment, the organisation of new workshops, and the support of young people on the path to success.

This project is an invitation to play an active part in building a fairer, more inclusive society, where every young person has the opportunity to thrive and find their own way.
