The ASBL Le Toboggan, located in Mons in the Hainaut region, provides accommodation and support for young girls in serious difficulty at every stage of their daily lives.
Thanks to UFB’s support, they have been able to buy a new minibus to transport their beneficiaries to medical appointments and school.
Le Toboggan: adapted accommodation for personalised support
The aim of Le Toboggan ASBL is to support young girls in difficulty in their development.
With values centred on inclusion, respect for others and living together, the ASBL currently supports 15 beneficiaries.
It offers accommodation based on group living, with indoor and outdoor kots.
It also ensures that family reintegration takes place under the best possible conditions by organising meetings between the beneficiary and members of her family
An educator is present at each meeting to facilitate dialogue and ensure appropriate support.
The team of educators is also available to assist beneficiaries with administrative and medical procedures.
A new minibus to accompany beneficiaries every day
The old vehicle had already made many journeys to drop off beneficiaries, totalling almost 230,000 km.
This was creating a risk of breakdowns, causing delays in accompanying beneficiaries and increasingly high maintenance costs.
The purchase of a new minibus was therefore financed to ensure a safe, high-quality service for the people the ASBL cares for every day.
This funding of €12,500 has ensured continuity of service for the 15 beneficiaries by guaranteeing safe journeys, particularly for medical appointments and school trips.
