The asbl Au fil de l’eau supports persons with disabilities, children and adults, as well as elderly people, by promoting inclusion and intergenerational links.
Thanks to UFB’s support, a back-up boiler has been installed that is changing the daily lives of the association’s beneficiaries. An improvement that brings comfort, serenity and well-being day after day!
Au fil de l’eau : inclusion of the disabled and development of intergenerational relations
Created in 2003, the asbl Au Fil de l’eau aims to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities.
Based on values such as solidarity and accessibility, the association currently supports nearly 600 beneficiaries through various initiatives.
It offers an inclusive crèche for children with disabilities, a swimming pool designed to stimulate mobility as well as apartments for the elderly.
Ensure the comfort of users: a back-up boiler to guarantee uninterrupted service
For the past 16 years, the boiler at Au fil de l’eau has been running on wood chips but there was a risk of breakdown. This risk causes stress and discomfort for nearly 600 users, particularly in the crèche, in the swimming pool adapted for PRMs and in the apartments.
The installation of a back-up boiler was therefore financed to guarantee constant heating and hot water for the entire infrastructure.
This EUR 15,000 funding has made it possible to ensure the safety and well-being of beneficiaries, avoiding service interruptions. It has also helped to provide a comfortable and stable environment, which are essential elements in the daily lives of users with special needs.
