The La Source Vive centre, located in Lasne, provides accommodation and care for children aged between 3 and 13 suffering from psychological disorders.
Thanks to UFB’s support, they were able to buy a new minibus that allows them to transport the children to their school.
La Source Vive: a specialised boarding school for tailor-made support
Founded in 1950, the La Source Vive centre houses children with behavioural disorders (neurotic, pre-psychotic) and offers them psycho-medical-educational support.
Four multidisciplinary teams (educators, psychologists, social workers, speech therapists) work together hand in hand to ensure individualised follow-up for each child.
The centre offers accommodation, transport between the boarding school and the school, psychomotor workshops and a sensory area where children are immersed in a relaxing environment of light and sound.
With values focused on support, teamwork and autonomy, the centre cares for 44 children aged between 3 and 13.
A minibus for safer and better organised transport
The centre itself takes care of the logistics and accompanies the children to school, using three small vans, which presented organisational difficulties and constraints.
Acquiring a new van was essential to continue provide better transport conditions for children. The purchase of a minibus was financed in order to guarantee better organised, higher quality transport.
This EUR 12,500 funding has made it possible to improve the children’s journeys and made it easier for the teams to organise their work, resulting in more efficient and stress-free supervision.
Support: a driving force for improving children’s comfort
Thanks to the support received, La Source Vive can offer better quality services and ensure the well-being of the children cared for by the centre.
With your support, we can continue to help ASBLs such as the La Source Vive centre to improve the daily lives of children.
