THE ASBL Le Pivot located in the Etterbeek district of Brussels, supports children, teenagers and adults in precarious situations. Their aim is to combat all forms of exclusion and vicious circles of failure.
Thanks to the support of UFB, the ASBL has been able to purchase a new vehicle that enables it to pick up beneficiaries directly from their institutions or homes so that they can take part in the workshops offered by the ASBL. Le Pivot.
An ASBL to ensure that every child has access to a leisure activity
Created in 1971 Le Pivot aims to combat all forms of exclusion and provide play activities for disadvantaged children, teenagers and adults.
With values centered on inclusion, equal opportunity and respect for others, ASBL Le Pivot currently supports 55 beneficiaries.
The asbl Le Pivot offers activities for all ages, encouraging expression, creativity and social interaction. Creative workshops allow children to develop their imagination, while summer camps offer a space for learning and discovery outside Brussels.
The Groupe Ados offers young people a framework adapted to their needs. Adults are also invited to participate in the life of the ASBL by getting involved in civic projects.
A new vehicle to continue offering leisure activities
The ASBL’s beneficiaries often come from underprivileged backgrounds, sometimes outside Brussels, which can create barriers to getting to the ASBL. The purchase of a vehicle therefore became essential.
Le Pivot wanted to overcome the barrier of distance and enable everyone to take part in the activities on offer. The 10,000 euros in funding enabled the purchase of the vehicle, which provides year-round travel.
It can be used to transport people with reduced mobility or the elderly, who are unable to use public transport, so that they can take part in projects.
It is also essential for picking up children from their institutions and offering them access to creative workshops.
“THANK YOU to UFB for contributing to the acquisition of this new vehicle which is essential to our activities!” Anne de Bruyn, General Secretary.
