New equipment for the comfort of our volunteers at Transkript

Transkript, a non-profit organisation based in Asse in Flemish Brabant, helps blind, partially sighted, dyslexic and multiple sclerosis sufferers who have difficulty reading.

Thanks to support from UFB, the ASBL has been able to purchase new office chairs and height-adjustable reading tables to ensure the comfort of the volunteers who record the audio books offered to beneficiaries.

Transkript’s mission: to make reading accessible to all

Transkript ASBL aims to help people with disabilities by offering them books and magazines in different formats: audio, braille or large print.

Our organisation ensures that reading material and information are accessible to people with reading difficulties.”Head of the ASBL.

With values focused on inclusion, equality and autonomy, ASBL Transkript is committed to promoting access to reading for all, regardless of visual or cognitive limitations.

New equipment for quality recordings

The old chairs and desks, bought second-hand, were no longer in a condition to be used to guarantee volunteers optimal conditions for recording audio books.

The purchase of new office equipment was financed to provide a comfortable, high-quality working environment for both volunteers and beneficiaries.

This funding of €6,500 will enable the ASBL to continue to offer reading formats tailored to the varied needs of its beneficiaries, ensuring access to reading for all.

Your support is a driving force behind the purchase of new materials
