CAR Ter Kouter: A minibus adapted for wheelchair users

The asbl CAR Ter Kouter , located in Deinze in Flanders, provides rehabilitation for people with developmental disabilities, brain injuries and hearing impairments. It provides transport for its beneficiaries to the rehabilitation centre.

Thanks to UFB’s support, the asbl was able to acquire a minibus adapted to transport wheelchair users, ensuring high-quality access to care.

Comprehensive support and rehabilitation: the services of CAR Ter Kouter

The aim of the asbl CAR Ter Kouter is to support people with brain injuries in their rehabilitation process.

With values focused on comprehensive support and improving quality of life, the asbl currently cares for 250 beneficiaries.
The asbl offers various services, including the CAR (Ambulatory Rehabilitation Centre), which supports people by focusing on their development and behaviour. It also has an inclusive crèche for children up to the age of 3.

Rehabilitation care is offered to adults and children who have suffered a non-congenital brain injury.
The asbl also provides a service of tailor-made hearing solutions, in partnership with Hoorexpert.

A minibus to guarantee access to rehabilitation care

To improve access to healthcare, the asbl CAR Ter Kouter needed a means of transport for its beneficiaries.

The purchase of a minibus was financed to ensure easier access to care, particularly for children from disadvantaged families, patients who have to use wheelchairs and children suffering from cerebral palsy.

This EUR 12,500 funding has made it possible to ensure continuous transport of beneficiaries between the ASBL and the care centres, thus guaranteeing regular access to quality rehabilitation.

Thanks to the support received, this purchase was made possible! Everyone’s contribution allows the asbl CAR Ter Kouter to offer quality transport to its beneficiaries while guaranteeing them access to regular care.
With your help, we can continue to help ASBLs like CAR Ter Kouter to improve the daily lives of people with special needs.
